About Art Gallery of New South Wales

The stone facade and the contemporary spaces of Naala Badu suggest different routes. The collection combines Australian and international art, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander work: read who made the pieces and where they come from.

General admission is usually free, with a charge for some exhibitions. Before Bondi, choose a few galleries. On a rainy day, do the opposite: spend longer in the museum and cut back on the coastal walk, without trying to exhaust both plans.
