About OCT-LOFT

In the early years of the economic zone, nearly 60 factories operated on this site. When the factories moved out, in the late 1990s, empty warehouses were left behind. The renovation began in August 2004 and went on in stages for more than ten years, keeping structures and traces of the industrial past.

Today there are about 300 design companies and cultural institutions, with exhibition spaces, workshops and cafés scattered among the old factory buildings. It is a place to wander without hurry, step into a gallery out of curiosity and leave with a decorating idea that won't fit in your apartment. It works well between Nantou and the bayfront, as a coffee break.
