About Dameisha and Xiaomeisha Beaches

Dameisha is the city's big beach: about 1.8 km of sand on the northern shore of Mirs Bay, in Yantian, open to the public since 1999. On hot weekends, it looks like half of Shenzhen had the same idea as you, so pick a weekday if you can.

Xiaomeisha, its neighbor to the west, is smaller and works as an alternative when Dameisha fills up; according to local guides, it charges admission. Bring flip-flops, sunscreen and patience for the ride back in the late afternoon, when everyone decides to leave at the same time. After Wutong, a swim here is the best way to end the day.
