About Getty Center

The tram ride up leaves the pace of the boulevards behind. At the top, the Getty Center combines galleries, courtyards, fountains and views of the city. Choose part of the collection, then head to Robert Irwin's central garden, where water, paths and plants are also part of an artwork.

Set aside a big block of time, including arrival and the internal transport. Admission is usually free with a reservation, and parking is charged. It's an alternative to the days above; check the impact of the announced modernization work before booking.
