About Hofburg

On Michaelerplatz, the curved façade of the Hofburg fills your field of view. The former Habsburg residence combines wings and courtyards housing different institutions. There is no single ticket that opens every door; the scale of the complex teaches you that before you reach the ticket office.

To see the court from the inside, choose the imperial apartments. The Sisi Museum exhibition is being redesigned, and access was temporarily suspended at the time of our research. Check the operator's notice, and stroll through the courtyards even if you decide to save on interiors.
