About Red Rock Canyon

Here, the color comes from the stone. At Red Rock Canyon, sandstone cliffs and formations replace the lit-up facades. The scenic drive is paved and one-way, with stops for looking at the desert and reaching trails.

Go by car or with organized transportation and pick your hike according to fitness and the forecast. The drive and a few short stops are enough to fill a morning. Vehicle access may require a timed reservation for part of the year; heat, storms and trail conditions have to be part of your decision.
